Headquarters Canyon Color

Headquarters Canyon is an easy hike into a "slot" canyon. At one point early in the hike, the canyon narrows to a crack just wider than an average person. After that, the canyon opens up a bit into a moist, cool and mostly shaded desert oasis.

The yellow color of the rock in the foreground and the desert varnish behind it drew my eye the most; but it was the greening Spring growth on the Mormon Tea bushes that initially caught my interest before the rock came into view.
